I train people to be strong where it counts

I am Shiden Young. I coach out of Queen Creek, Arizona, and I build programs for women who want a body that looks good and performs just as well.

“My other passion has always been horses. Working in the horse industry showed me just how valuable strength and fitness are outside the gym too. Being on your feet all day, working with horses, doing chores, and reacting quickly all require a body that is strong and capable. That’s what I want to bring to my training: a physique that looks good, performs well, and makes you feel strong in everything you do.”

How I got here

I started lifting in high school as part of my basketball training. It was on the schedule before it was a passion. What hooked me was discovering how much you can change, improve, and challenge yourself through training, and learning to love the process along the way.

That is the part I want my clients to find too. Not a six week sprint, but the version of training you keep doing because the process itself is worth something.

Why horses changed my coaching

I am a born horse lover. Horses have always been my first passion, and I love that horses and fitness go hand in hand. I genuinely feel like my work with horses is better because of my work inside the gym, and my coaching is better because of the barn. A barn is honest. It tells you straight away whether your strength is real or whether it only exists on a machine.

So my programs are written for the day, not just the session. Squats so you can get up and down all day. Rows so your back holds through hours of work. Balance and stability because things move and you have to react. As I grow, I plan to specialize in training equestrians, building the strength, stability, balance, and confidence that carry over into the saddle.
